Recognition of Local Mediation Work

Come take part in celebrating Multicultural Day with fun, family activities including: music & dance performances, a children’s art area, local food, and more!

July 13: Community Tables  
5 – 7pm @ Haley House Bakery Café (Dudley) 
Join Haley House in their monthly Community Tables event, a pay-what-you-will shared meal where donations go towards supporting the efforts of Haley House. All are welcome to come and eat delicious food, share stories, and join in celebrating one another. 

8am – 3pm @ George H. Walker Playground  
Join the Mattapan Food and Fitness Coalition for a community bike ride along the Nesponset River Greenway Trail! Choose one of three routes and pedal along with riders of all ages & skill levels who are working to make Mattapan a more bike-friendly neighborhood. Free bike & helmet rentals available. 

10am – 4pm @ Malcolm X Blvd
Come celebrate the community and culture of Roxbury with the 2019 Roxbury Unity Parade! Register to show support through walking in the parade, or sign up to voluntee r for a part of the day.

July 25: Decades of Fire: Stay, Fight, Build – Film Screening 
5:30 – 8:30pm @ Black Market, Dudley Square 
Come to a free screening and community dialogue about the history of displacement across the U.S. and how communities have taken action! Hear the story of a South Bronx community coming together to fight divestment and displacement happening in their neighborhood, and engage in a post-film discussion with filmmaker, Vivian Vazquez-Irizarry.

Interested in mentoring young women in financial literacy? Budget Buddies is recruiting female-identifying people to volunteer as coaches for their programs. You don’t need to be an expert to help! As a coach, you’ll receive training to provide ongoing, one-to-one support for your buddy.

Learn how to grow your wealth through real estate investment in this workshop series! With the goal of providing tangible steps that people of color can take to increase their net worth, participants will walk away with concrete strategies that they can apply to wealth creation.
