About Us Essex County Council for Young Children (ECCYC) aims to create an environment where parents and families come together with providers and other community members as active partners to identify and discuss the issues that affect the health, education and safety of our children from pregnancy to 8 in Essex County as they relate to the needs, concerns, hopes, dreams and successes of our families.
The mission of the ECCYC is to work in collaboration with communities, parents and stakeholders, to establish a collective body whose primary focus is improving the education, health and safety of children and families.
To empower, advocate and effect change for families and children birth to eight through collaborative community engagement in Essex County, New Jersey.
Over 600 parent and stakeholder members who have participated in meetings, activities, testimonials, advocacy activities over the last 3 years including representatives from health care, providers, education and libraries.
